IN contemporary Bangla Literature Humayoun Ahmed is a very popular writer, no doubt. He represents middle class family very perfectly. He writes very easily - smoothly, as we speak in our daily/practical life.

He must be recognized to create READERS. People/readers like to spend money on his books.

There is a difference between Good Writer or Popular Writer. Good writers win the time. They live long time, years after years in readers mind which Popular Writers may not.

Humayun ahmed is a popular writer rather than as a good writer. his writings attracts us very easily, but didn't set any parmanent stand in our mind. his writings had no deep thought about life and others. that's why he is not a good writer.
